“Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God which He has purchased with His own blood. For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also men shall arise from your own selves, speaking perverse things in order to draw disciples away after them. Therefore watch and remember that for the time of three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.” Acts 20:28-31

Back Cover Proclamations: part II

The author, Ethan Walker claims:

“The Mystic Christ is also the story of the ego, the personification of ignorance, and how it has distorted and subverted the sublime sayings of the Master, twisting reality into unreality and light into darkness. The ego is the Antichrist in this ancient drama that has griped every culture for all time in its talons of self-centered perception. The ego is anti-love.” (see paragraph two)

Note: At face value, Walker’s descriptive explanation of ego seems accurate enough and if read apart from paragraph one – the reader would assume Walker correctly speaks of the spirit of Antichrist and his ego being the enemy of mankind. Therein lies another subtle lie by the author!

He has already claimed in paragraph one that ego itself derives from the “suffocating darkness of conventional orthodoxy on one side, and blind fundamentalist extremism on the other.” Thus, anyone who claims themselves as Christ followers adhering to the doctrines of Jesus Christ as God, must themselves be, according to Walker – Antichrist!

Walker’s doctrine of “non-duality” is egotistical and rooted in the desire of Satan to ascend to Godhead status himself! Satan’s ego hates Jesus Christ as the Worshipped One so he works hard to demote Jesus Christ to that of a mere human teacher – in order to dissuade mankind from knowing and acknowledging Jesus Christ is God and God alone. Satan then goes after weak-kneed Christians in the hope that they will cower from his accusations that they are “blind fundamentalist” with an “Antichrist ego!” How clever.

The Author, Jesus Christ claims:

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” Deuteronomy 6:4

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” Isaiah 14:12-15

The author, Ethan Walker claims:

“Adam and Eve were not the first people, the original nature of man is good, scripture is not infallible, Jesus is one of the ways, reincarnation is our future, the resurrection is a personal spiritual awakening, and no one is damned to hell for all eternity. And it’s all in the Bible!  These issues are carefully and lovingly revealed in the life and sayings of Jesus.”

Note: Is Walker correct in saying that all the above are actually taught in the Bible? Let’s find out from the Bible’s Author Himself, Jesus Christ:

The Author, Jesus Christ claims:

- Concerning “Adam and Eve were not the first people”

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27

“This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” Genesis 5:1-2

“Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.” Luke 3:38

“For Adam was first formed, then Eve.” I Timothy 2:13

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” I Corinthians 15:45

- Concerning “the original nature of man is good”

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” Romans 5:12-14

- Concerning “scripture is not infallible”

“All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17

“And I saw Heaven opened. And behold, a white horse! And He sitting on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and makes war. And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. And He had a name written, one that no one knew except Himself. And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:11-16

“For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

- Concerning “Jesus is one of the ways”

“Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.” John 14:5-6

- Concerning “reincarnation is our future”

“Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38

“And they went out and proclaimed that men should repent.” Mark 6:12

“I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5

“And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.” Revelation 20:15

- Concerning “resurrection is a spiritual personal awakening”

“But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?” God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Matthew 22:31-32

“Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:5-6

“But I confess this to you
, that after the Way which they call heresy, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things that are written in the Law and in the Prophets. And I have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.” Acts 24:14-15

“Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in Me, though he die, yet he shall live.” John 11:25

- Concerning “no one is damned to Hell for eternity”

“Let desolation take hold on them, and let them go down alive into hell; for evils are among them in their dwellings.” Psalm 55:5

“But he does not know that the dead are there; her guests are in the depths of hell.” Proverbs 9:18

“And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28

“And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them. And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.” Revelation 20:10-15

- Concerning “And it’s all in the Bible!  These issues are carefully and lovingly revealed in the life and sayings of Jesus.”

“I marvel that you so soon are being moved away from Him who called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel, which is not another, but some are troubling you, and desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.” Galatians 1:6-7

“But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But also if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those being lost, in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For it is God who said, “Out of darkness Light shall shine;” who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” II Corinthians 4:2-6
